 Figure Skating  Notes

We will still be offering our popular Sunday evening Style class free to all or Low, Middle and High Freestylers.  Check out the freestyle flyer or the schedule page on the website for more information.

As a club we have worked hard to best serve the needs of our membership.  This coming season we continue to face increases in ice costs, and we have worked hard to minimize the impact of these greatly increased costs on our membership.  Freestyle skaters can register anytime we have ice, just talk to the ice monitor or a Board member during our session.

2013 Registration Answers to Common Questions

Is this more expensive than last year?  Our ice rates have increased again this year.  Our Board struggled with the best way to hold down costs, while still providing the ice time and benefits that make our club special.  Except for a very small increase in our administrative fee, we have not raised our rates this season.  Our club provides great value for our members, along with additional services not offered elsewhere.
What is the Volunteer Fee?  Freestyle skaters will again pay a volunteer fee at the beginning of the season.  By volunteering for club approved activities the family of the skater will qualify to have this fee refunded at the end of the season.  If we don't get enough volunteers, we will use these fees to hire local students to perform these activities for the club.  We tried to eliminate this fee last year and we did not get enough families to volunteer.  We need your help as ice monitors, competition/test session volunteers, Holiday and Spring Exhibition volunteers, and more.  Please talk with a Board Member.
What is the Administrative Fee? This fee covers mailing expenses, USFS insurance coverage, costumes, and some of the other administrative costs that the club has.

If you have any questions, feel fee to call or drop by and talk to us at the rink.

Joint Members and Visiting Skaters

Joint memberships to the SCNH are available to all members of the USFS. Fees are based on the amount of ice needed. For details about joint membership, just drop us an email, call us at 315-734-5656, or check our brochure.

We welcome visiting professionals, and skaters from other clubs. Visiting coaches will need to pay a $5 fee for using our ice, unless they are coaching club members, in which case the fee will be waived. All coaches must have valid insurance and must sign our code of conduct before skating on our ice.

During the regular season ice schedule, visiting freestyle skaters can drop in on our ice for $15 per session, if there are open slots for the session. Punch cards can be purchased as well, for those skaters that frequently "drop in".  Or check out our Joint Membership options.  For questions talk to a Board Member at the rink or reach us at 734-5656 or scofnh@gmail.com.
