Freestyle Skating
Working and improving...
Registration is now Open!!!
We now have our 2010-2011 schedules and ice packages available. You can download a PDF version of our Freestyle Flyer for Freestyle skating below. You can register at the New Hartford Rec Center on September 12th or 13th, from 5pm to 7pm. Freestyle skaters can register anytime we have ice this summer, just talk to the ice monitor during our summer session. If you have questions, please feel free to ask us.
Members Have More Flexibility - More Options
Note that during any freestyle session, any discipline may be
skated, including
moves and dance. This allows our skaters the flexibility to practice
what
they need, when they need it. It also allows our skaters to more easily
schedule lesson time with their coaches, and work on what they feel
most
needs improvement.
We are accepting membership registrations now, and will continue to do
so throughout the fall.
Looking for Volunteers
The club is looking for people to volunteer for a variety of things
for
the upcoming season. As part of your registration this year, each
family will be assessed a $25 volunteer fee. This fee will
be refunded to families once they have performed a club approved
volunteer activity during the season. Fees will be refunded at
the end of the season. If families do NOT perform their volunteer
service, the fee will be used to hire people to perform the tasks that
the club needs done. Our intent is not to penalize the families
of our skaters, but to ensure that we can continue to provide a safe
and productive atmosphere at the rink.
Watch this space for more details on volunteer opportunities for the
upcoming season.
Looking for Monitors
The club is looking for people to volunteer to be monitors for some of our Freestyle sessions at the rink. Check out the bulletin board for a list of the current monitor volunteers, and see what spots are open. Volunteering for this is easy, and monitoring is easy too. Help out and do your part to make our club and the entire skating experience a positive one for everyone.
